On the last Sunday in September each year more than 1,500 historic vehicles line up at the start to play their part in perpetuating the legend of the Bay to Birdwood. The next Bay to Birdwood event will be the “Classic" staged on Sunday 29 September 2013. The 2013 Classic will be for vehicles manufactured between 1 January 1956 and 31 December 1977. Breakfast With The Cars (at West Beach) has become a tradition and this is the spectators' opportunity to mix 'n mingle with entrants and their vehicles. Enjoy a range of breakfasts provided by local service organisations washed down with jazz and line the start ahead of the flag off at 9am. It takes approximately 1.5 hours for all entrant vehicles to depart on the route to Birdwood - give them a send off they won't forget! Vehicles head down West Beach Road turning right into Tapleys Hill Road then left into Anzac Highway. Their journey through metropolitan Adelaide en route to the National Motor Museum in Birdwood enables the spectators who line the 72km route to see Australia's greatest motoring show on wheels pass right in front of them - 2 hours of motoring history! There's something for everyone at the Finish. The gates open at the National Motor Museum at 10am with the first entrant vehicles usually arriving approximately 10:30am just as the main stage entertainment program gets under way. Admission to the Finish includes entry into the National Motor Museum so take a walk through motoring history and see the latest Exhibition. Wander amongst the Concours d'elegance vehicles during the judging, pack a picnic basket, dress in the era of the event and you could be selected by roving judges as finalist in the Fashions in The Field. 2017 Adelaide Chrysler Festival

ACF-Flyer_A4_2017 The 2017 Adelaide Chrysler Festival incorporating the Mopar Mega Cruise and All Chrysler Day will be held from Friday March 24th to Sunday March 26th, 2017. Entry forms are now available! Entry this year is via the online entry form at: http://www.cccsa.net.au/acd-entry-form/ This year’s events include: Friday lunch cruise to the National Motor Museum at Birdwood. Cost is $20 per vehicle which includes entry to the Museum and lunch for the driver. Additional passengers just need to pay an extra $5 each for lunch. Payment will be collected on the day . We will be parking inside the Museum grounds.Meet at West Adelaide Football Club, 51 Milner Rd Richmond at 9am on Friday 24th March, for a coffee followed by 9:30am departure. Cruise route is approximately 150km. Friday night meet and greet at the Tonsley Hotel in the famous Chrysler Bar from 6pm. Dinner is available and there will be security monitoring of the car park so your pride and joy will be safe.Former Chrysler Australia employees will be guest speakers in the hotel’s Flinders Room from 7:30pm. Saturday evening will be the Mopar Mega-Cruise from Urrbrae High School starting with a BBQ meet up from 5pm with the cruise departing at 7pm. Enter via Fullarton or Cross Road. Cruise will be departing from the main oval this year as we have outgrown the car park.Cruise will be through the inner Adelaide Hills and southern suburbs. The weekend will culminate on Sunday 26th March with the All Chrysler Day show and shine at the Urrbrae High School oval. All Chrysler and Chrysler related products and including vintage, classic and modern in whatever condition they are in are welcome to attend and display on the day. The popular Mo-Parking area on the oval will be bigger than ever this year and you can park your Mopar on the oval for as long or as short a time as you please. There will also be the regular trade displays, swap sites, entertainment and judging. As for the past 2 years, judging will be done by the event’s sponsors and ALL vehicles entered will be eligible for trophies. There will be special trophies this year for modern Mopars and for older vehicles that aren’t necessarily in ‘pristine show condition’. So get your car out and put it on display, no matter what the age or rust level! CoastFM will be broadcasting live on the day from the oval and providing the sound track for the festivities.

Bay to Birdwood Classic

The Bay to Birdwood event is for Classic vehicles and will take place on Sunday 24 September 2017, and is for all cars, motorcycles, vans, trucks and commercial vehicles built on or after 1st January 1956 and on or before 31 December 1978. The inaugural Bay to Birdwood was held in 1980 and the event has since become a fixture on the South Australian events calendar. The sun will just be rising over the Adelaide Hills when the very first vehicles start arriving at Adelaide Shores. People are encourage to find the best spot along the 70km route and watch the cavalcade of motoring history pass by. The gates at the National Motor Museum will open at 10am with the first entrant vehicles arriving at approximately 10:30am just as the mainstage entertainment program gets underway. he Concours d'Elegance is held each year in association with both the Run and the Classic. It follows the original Concours d'Elegance format in that the overall appearance of the vehicle and passengers is judged.
